Champion has been practicing law for over thirty years. The first eleven years of his legal career was as an assistant district attorney for the State of North Carolina. After graduating from North Carolina Central School of Law in 1984 he began working as an assistant district attorney in the 2nd Judicial District in North Carolina. As an assistant district attorney for he handled all types of traffic offenses and misdemeanor crimes from child support to assault with a deadly weapon. In 1987 Mr. Champion moved his family to Alamance County to become an assistant district attorney in Judicial District 15A. There he handled everything from speeding tickets to first-degree murder cases. As an assistant district attorney he took lead prosecution roles in several first-degree murder cases involving the death penalty and for approximately eight years he was the lead prosecutor in all child abuse and sexual assault cases that were prosecuted.
In 1996 Mr. Champion joined the law firm of Hemric & Lambeth, P.A. Since 1996 Mr. Champion has concentrated his practice in criminal defense and personal injury. In 2004 Mr. Champion earned the distinction of being a Board Certified Specialist in Criminal Law.
Mr. Champion has also been active in the Alamance County Community. He served for the following organizations:Crossroads, Alamance County Mental Health Association, Old Forest Racquet Club Board of Directors, Burlington Civitan Club, and Western Alamance High School Student Aid Association.
His professional associations include the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys, the North Carolina Bar Association, North Carolina's Advocates for Justice, and the Alamance County Bar Association.

ROBERT C. GILES, II
Robert C. Giles, II also known as, "Bob", is a native of Alamance County. He has been licensed to practice law since 2002. After working for a local Alamance County mid-sized law firm for 8 years and practicing in own his solo firm for 3 years he is now a partner with Champion & Giles, P.A. located in Graham, North Carolina.
Bob graduated from Western Alamance High School and went on to attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Music. Following his graduation at UNC-Chapel Hill Bob earned his Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University magna cum laude. While attending law school he was a member of the North Carolina Central University Moot Court Board and won first place in the Clifton Johnson Moot Court Competition.
Bob is a skilled litigator and accomplished negotiator who can utilize his knowledge of the local court system and trial process to efficiently handle Personal Injury matters, Traffic and Criminal Law, Debt Collections and Employment Law. Bob is married to Leanna B. Giles and together they have one daughter. Bob is very involved in the community serving on boards and committees. Bob takes pride in providing personal legal service to each and every client.
